It’s both fun and interesting to see how babies grow all by their own. Yes, they get assistance from parents and other adults, but when it comes to timing, they’re all on their own. A is wanting to sit up and she’s expressing herself quite clearly. She holds her head up whenever she has the chance and this is making feedings very, very difficult. Oh well.
Our friend P and S’s son C had his first birthday party and it was fun! I’ve never been around so many babies at once so it was a bit hectic, but fun. I’m more used to bigger, longer and more extravagant first birthdays like in Seoul, and it was refreshing to how simple the party was: snacks both sweet and salty, a biiiig cake and presents! Going to the party gave me some insight and ideas on how I would throw A’s first birthday, which seems sooo far away.
I’m very eager to make all the birthday cakes to come, and I’ve already found some ideas, like here (how pretty!? And I love the idea of different types of layered cakes!), here (classic), here (why not a roll?) here (pretty although it may be tricky to find the perfect strawberries in May…) and here (I doubt I’ll make this one but it’s so pretty!).
Still taking three to four naps during the day but taking 4-5 hour sleeps at night.
- Started to grab things on the desk!
- Staring at her finger whilst moving it in strange positions…
- Not eating as much as I would like. Making 170-200 but rarely finishes.
- Sitting up soon?
