The past few days have been crazy, both mentally and physically. The now very stubborn A doesn’t want to sleep, drink her milk and left alone for even a minute to play. In other words, she’s “on” me in whatever form: in my arms, on a baby carrier, on my lap etc.
So there’s been a lot of late night beers, sighing, going out with her tucked in the baby carrier (mine is from Baby Bjorn and I love it. I also have an Ergobaby which is super popular everywhere but it’s a bit too bulky for me… The Baby Bjorn one is quick, simple and comfortable.) because she loves going out and it sometimes seems to be the only reason she’ll stay still and a lot of hot showers because oh, my muscles.
But meanwhile, Stuttgart is entering the autumn phase, which is beautiful.
Around the end of the 25th week, she’s been mumbling a lot, a lot more intentionally. When I say intentionally, I mean she’s making up some new sounds by herself, other than just making sounds. We’ve been having conversations like the following a couple of times.
- Me: Say Mommy, A. Mommy. Moooooommy.
- A: Moooo…mm….waaaaaaa.
- Me: She said Mommy! (patting G violently). Look, she said it!
- G:..it may sound like Mommy, but it’s not Mommy.
- Me: Shut up you.
Let’s hope it gets easier. Oh, and belated Happy Halloween. Stuttgart just started celebrating Halloween, which means dressing up and hitting bars and streets, and I’m not sure I’ll be keen dressing A up when I know there’s no trick-or-treating, but oh well. This onesie had to see the light some time and the past weekend was the perfect opportunity.
